Overview
INSAFOAM INSULATION (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned Malaysian company, was incorporated on September 8, 1992.
Insafoam manufactures and distributes its branded INSAPIPE range of polyurethane preinsulated pipes in Malaysia, the South-East Asian region and for the Middle East region.
Products
The company has further branched out to manufacturing of PU panels for Cold room, Clean room, telecommunication cabin and site of PU Spraying System for computer room, hospital operation room and other facilities.
Insafoam is also actively involved in the import and sales of pipes, K-450 aluminium insulation foil, flexible round ducts etc.
Performance
The company’s turnover has more than doubled from RM10.4 Million in 1997 to more than RM21.5 Million in 2007.
Achievements
Insafoam was a proud winner of the 1997 Malaysia Enterprise-50 competition when it was placed a respectable 11th position. The Enterprise-50 is an annual award programme which was started in 1996 to celebrate and highlight the achievements of enterprising home-grown companies that are well positioned for the future. The programme is organised by the Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC) and supported by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). 50 winners are selected annually from amongst the nominations received and the evaluation is performed by an independent panel of judges based on key financial and non-financial factors.
Insafoam has further elevated and strengthen its quality base in management and manufacturing following a recent achievement as an ISO 9001:2000 certified company.
Insafoam is proud to be a leading company in the polyurethane product business having many satisfied customers, and has build up a reputable relationship amongst many suppliers who gladly extend their support and credit facilities.

Tan Ah Booy
Started in 1985 as a Marketing Executive in General Engineering and Air-Conditioning Services. Involved in the manufacturing and contracting of PU Sectional Pipes, from which acquired knowledge and experience in the permeation, mixture and composition of polyurethane chemical to formulate the product of PU sectional pipes.
Choong Kooi Yoon
Mr Choong joined Insafoam in 1997. Overall in-charge of formulating and implementing company financial, manufacturing, sales and project strategies to enhance company operating performance. Responsible for the daily finance, administration and overall top management function in the company to achieve company goals and objectives.
Choong Chee Hoong
Mr. Choong joined Insafoam in 2003 as a Project Engineer after completing his university degree in Mechanical Engineering.
